Associate Systems Designer

We have multiple openings for Associate Systems Designers to support Front Body Rear Body and Plumbing.

The Associate Systems Designer will support engineers with drawing layouts by utilizing computeraided drafting software. This role will also be responsible for creating new and modified components and Bill of Materials (BOM) in accordance to the Oshkosh standards.

These positions will be required to be onsite at our Pierce Manufacturing facility in Bradenton Florida.

YOUR IMPACT:

These duties are not meant to be allinclusive and other duties may be assigned.

  • Update current drawings per markups based on direction from engineering; remaster CAD drawings to current format.
  • Use computeraided drafting systems to create 3D and 2D layouts of parts and small assemblies.
  • Selfcheck own work to ensure accuracy and organization dimension and tolerance convention and conformance with established CAD specifications and standards.
  • Prepare and create Change Notice (CN) documents based on BOM and design layouts for appropriate date entry.
  • Utilize ERP systems to create part numbers following the proper naming process and data entry requirements.
  • Create and review BOM following engineering procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance for prototype pilot and production support; provide assistance when needed.
  • Analyze and resolve issues reported to Engineering via verbal and written communication.
  • Review technical documents sales proposals and data.
  • Prepare reports and presentations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or equivalent* with four 4 years of experience in drafting/design.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or equivalent* with five 5 years of experience in drafting/design.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast pace environment.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Capable of using standard Windows Office tools including SharePoint email and CAD tools.
  • Experience with a highlevel CAD system. CATIA V5 preferred.
  • Familiarity with a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavyvehicle equipment and related systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

*Note: equivalent equates approximately four 4 years of on the job experience to one 1 year of formal education.

Pay Range:

$56600.00 $88400.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
