Responsibilities- Autonomously manages the and timely completion of projects within Steel Protection/Passive Fire Protection by working with the customer to analyze project scope develop a preliminary plan of investigation and determine project specifications such as cost time and sample requirements.
- Works with global engineers to gain better understanding on different areas of work from testing to European/US/UK test standards and also to be involved in supporting the team with third part certification.
- Initiates communication with clients to promote and explain the benefits of new and existing services discuss technical issues explain UL procedures and requirements convey project cost and negotiate completion date and sample requirements.
- Establishes appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturers information examining samples and applying UL requirements.
- Determines areas in which the product is not in compliance with UL requirements and notifies client of any areas in which the product is not in compliance with UL requirements or of any changes in project scope or specifications.
- Coordinates complex laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians and by establishing completion dates.
- Projects may include frequent travel to conduct or witness tests at client sites.

Qualifications- University Degree in Engineering preferably Built Environment or other discipline related to Fire Safety but it can be also Chemical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering.
- Around 12 years of experience in handling projects/tests within Fire Safety specifically Steel Protection/Passive Fire Protection would be preferred.
- Familiar with Third Party Certification UKCA and CE Marks and EN Test standards.
- Strong team work skills and great project management skills.
- Good command of English language is mandatory.
