Job Description

The Assistant Manager of Park Services will supervise and lead parttime seasonal team members in ensuring that appearance and cleanliness expectations are met and exceeded for all of our venues to include Hersheypark GIANT Center Hersheypark Stadium and Hershey Theatre. This role will assist in coordinating and conducting training sessions and will ensure that staffing levels are commensurate with cleaning needs.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

  • Supervise and lead the Park Services team members to include morning cleanup crews janitorial attendants and supervisor positions. Ensure each area has proper staffing and that all team members have proper training and documentation for each shift.*

  • Provide coaching and training for parttime seasonal team members on their shifts. Assist in leadership development through providing opportunities for employees to continue to grow and develop while providing recognition and appreciation to our team members.*

  • Coordinate and ensure that daily staffing levels are commensurate with operational needs.*

  • Oversee and maintain department equipment inventories and ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Coordinate timely and efficient repairs while maintaining proper inventory levels.*

  • Communicate regularly with Management regarding operational issues or concerns to include team member or guest matters. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with other departments and support teams to ensure alignment and consistency.*

  • Perform and complete assigned tasks from management as needed.*

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience.

  • Industry Experience Amusement Park Construction/Maintenance Hospitality/Tourism

  • Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.

  • 18 Years or older

  • Must have a valid Drivers License

  • Completion of high school or GED

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.

  • The position is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.

  • The position is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.

  • The position is subject to extreme cold. Temperatures typically below 32 for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions such as wind and humidity.

  • The position is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.

  • The position is subject to outside environmental conditions. No effective protection from the weather.
