$1500 signon bonus!
Coperion is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler (Custom Machine Assembly) to support our location in Whitewater WI. This is not a standard production assembly line position. You will be building different equipment each day. There is a lot of room for growth into other disciplines if desired! We have a 5S environment very clean production floor and great people to work with!
Schedule: 1st shift MondayThursday 6am3pm & Friday 6am Noon
Responsibilities:
- Develop a working knowledge of Coperion products parts and part numbers a thorough understanding of safety requirements and build a wide variety of quality mechanical assemblies using blueprints schematics and work orders
- Interface with engineers and other manufacturing disciplines within the factory to overcome challenges and meet customers needs
- Review and follow technical drawings
- Operate machines tooling equipment fork truck and overhead cranes for production and assembly
- Support our lean manufacturing process with 5S
- Adhere to ISO 9001 company standards work instructions and procedures
Required Education/Experience/Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of recent mechanical aptitude experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency with hand tools and a strong understanding of blueprint reading are required
- Ability to multitask
- Basic computer knowledge preferred
- Dependability a must
