Work Schedule:

Per Diem this is a Day/Evening position with 8 eighthour shifts Monday Friday. Shifts start between the hours of: 6:30 AM 9:00 AM. Hours may vary based on operational needs of department.

We are seeking Endoscopy Technician to:

  • Assist physicians or other providers with procedures performed in the gastroenterology endoscopy setting.
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures assisting providers during endoscopy including biopsy specimen collection and polypectomy.
  • Restocking of procedure room supplies and monitoring of supply PAR levels.
  • Troubleshooting of all specialty equipment.
  • Adherence to strict infection control practices and use of personal protective equipment.

Education:

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Formal training or experience in medical specialty (i.e. LPN MA Advanced Nursing Assistant)

Work Experience:

Preferred One 1 year of experience in a clinical setting (or) one 1 year of experience assisting in GI or pulmonary medical procedures basic cardiac monitoring experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum BLS/CPR certification

Required Skills Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of communication techniques teamwork customer service standards and quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of the use of personal protective equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Medium: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
