The Amazon Foundational People Data Services (FPDS) team is building solutions to enable employees and managers to selfserve changes across all human resource processes.
Join us in building an innovative technology using Amazon Web Services to meet the complex and unique demands of managing nearlyemployees globally. We dive deep to insist on the highest standards in architecture coding testing deploying and maintaining every aspect of our offerings.
We are looking for scalefocused and customerobsessed developers with strong computer science fundamentals including full stack development data structures objectoriented design algorithm design problem solving and innovate in latest trends like application of LLM into our services.

Key job responsibilities
Take ownership of software design documentation development engineering approach delivery and support of systems built natively in AWS.
Collaborate with leaders work backwards from customers identify problems propose innovative solutions and raise standards.
Have a positive impact on our customers by delivering highquality software solutions.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders on planning and communication of project deliverables.
Participate in an oncall rotation within your team to troubleshoot and resolve defects with ongoing communication with stakeholders and customers.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve software development practices.
About the team
The core of Foundational People Data Services is to provide its customers with a secure fast and reliable way to store and consume worker data. Here in Data Consumer Experience (DCX) we focus on secure consumption of this data for builder teams. Our engineers use technology to solve complex problems across the Amazon ecosystem collaborating with team members in and across teams. They have the responsibility to improve and build new tools services and applications. Taking a business problem from conception and designing developing and deploying software solutions while holding a high bar for code quality and their craft is at the heart of how they make impact. They have a responsibility to deliver on schedule using current software engineering best practices.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle including coding standards software architectures code reviews source control management continuous deployments testing and operational excellence
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent
