- Supervise the daily operations of teams in production receiving shipping quality customer service and inventory accuracy
- Lead customer service activities to strengthen relationships
- Grow our sales volume (tonnage) and improve profitability
- Coordinate all safety initiatives: training inspections and accident investigations
- Maintain adequate costeffective inventory and accurate POs of key inputs: ingredients packaging and supplies
- Facility coordinator of Safe Feed / Safe Food Audits
- Organize all maintenance and housekeeping
- Manage employees including hiring performance evaluations and coaching
- Motivate the employees to meet performance expectations
- Partner with senior leadership on annual budgeting capital projects and large purchases
- 5 years of operational management/supervision in any manufacturing/processing environment
- Looking for strong Opertations Management Skills we will teach you the rest
- Experience leading multiple teams within varying production environments:
- warehousing/distribution
- feed manufacturing
- grain plant
- Knowledge of various supply chain elements:
- warehousing
- inventory management
- production
- customer service and transportation
- Knowledge of Safe Food/Safe Feed quality programs/protocols
- Significant track record of success in plant/personnel safety
- Strong background in identifying and resolving maintenance issues with facility/equipment
- Successful experience in managing and developing your staff
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs and other software as required
- Must have valid drivers license with appropriate vehicle insurance
- The company is located in a very small rural community in the norther part of the thumb of Michigan
- It is within a commutable distance of larger communities with requisite amenities
