About the Department

This graduate program offers a masters degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. The MA in Rehabilitation Counseling program is fullyCACREPaccredited and uses a combination of inperson hybrid and asynchronous online courses. Each inperson course meets once a week at the Everett University Center while hybrid courses meet inperson five times per quarter.

About the PositionThis graduate program offers a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling.

Woodring College of Education Department of Health and Community Studies is seeking exceptionally qualified faculty at the rank of Instructor to teach for the MA in Rehabilitation Counseling program. Teaching positions are assigned for the quarter (fall winter spring and summer) and are temporary and parttime based upon the needs of the program. Inperson courses are primarily offered during the late afternoon and/or evening hours.

Required Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Candidates appointed ABD must complete degree requirements by June 15th of the year of hire in order to be eligible for reappointment
  • Relevant experience in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling
  • Relevant experience and/or training in course content area(s)
  • Previous successful teaching experience
  • Experience working with diverse populations
  • Basic competency with word processing and communication tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching successfully in higher education
  • Experience with instructional technology
  • Experience teaching via distance education (webbased instruction)

Salary

$1136$1418 per credit commensurate with experience and qualifications.
