Key Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation: Review project specifications applicable regulations drawings quality assurance and verification requirements materials testing and other technical requirements to evaluate material labor handling equipment transportation and applicable tax requirements required per project. Use this information to generate precise cost estimates for both small and largescale manufacturing projects in various regions within North America.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with engineers project managers production teams finance teams and sales departments to ensure estimates align with project needs timelines and quality standards.
• Project Planning and Scheduling: Help create detailed schedules and timelines for the manufacturing process factoring in material availability labor costs resource planning and production constraints.
• Cost Analysis and Optimization: Conduct indepth cost analysis and propose costsaving measures ensuring the company remains competitive while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. Compare pricing with the current market to determine competitive strength.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline the estimation process and implement improvements based on past project data and feedback.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all estimates including cost breakdowns adjustments and final budgets for future reference and trend analysis.
• Client Interaction: Assist in preparing bid proposals and cost breakdowns for clients ensuring transparency and clarity in cost estimates. Communicate directly with clients when necessary to clarify requirements or negotiate pricing.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks associated with projects (e.g. supply chain disruptions labor shortages) and advise the team on mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing estimation with a strong background in cost analysis project management and manufacturing processes.
• Technical Knowledge: Indepth understanding of all cost input variables associated with the large structural manufacturing sector. Knowledge of industryspecific specifications regulations and governance is required. Proficiency with software tools for cost estimation and project management is required.
• Attention to Detail: Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail ensuring that all estimates are accurate and thorough.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities to explain complex cost structures clearly and professionally to both internal teams and external clients.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word) and estimation software such as CostX EstiTrack or equivalent tools.
• ProblemSolving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to identify issues in cost estimation and offer practical solutions to resolve them effectively.
