What we are looking for:

We are looking for a talented friendly enthusiastic person to welcome our customers into the dealership and to handle their vehicle transactions in an efficient manner. This person should be a team player working with managers and coworkers to ensure the best possible service to our customers!

The Body Shop Administrative Assistant receives payment from customers and employees for goods or services rendered and records the amount received in an accurate and accountable manner. They sometimes are the customers first and/or last contact with the dealership and therefore must represent the dealership in a friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Greets customers entering the service area with a friendly upbeat attitude
  • Forecasts goals and objectives for the department and assists management in meeting them
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with insurance adjusters and other sublet vendors
  • Establishes and maintains good working relationships with customers to encourage repeat and referral business
  • Maintains a professional demeanor while answering customer questions and directs them to the appropriate person or location
  • Receives cash checks and credit card payments from customers records amounts received
  • Provides clerical and secretarial assistance to the damage appraisers
  • Follows up on parts department orders to ensure parts availability
  • Handles customer complaints with integrity and poise and when necessary refers dissatisfied customers to the appropriate individuals for resolution
  • Records customers name VIN tag number mileage and existing vehicle damage
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Automotive Experience Preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks within deadlines.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be organized
  • Must have a positive attitude and be friendly
  • Ability to pass preemployment background check drug test and have an insurable driving record.
