Responsibilities
TransportationSecurityOfficersprovide securityandprotectionofairtravelersairports and aircraftinacourteousandprofessionalmanner.
Screeners will usediversecuttingedgeelectronicdetectionandimagingequipmenttoidentifydangerous objectsinbaggagecargoandonpassengers preventingthoseobjectsfrombeing transportedontoaircraft.Thisincludesbutisnotlimitedtopatdownsearchesoperationofxraymachinesbaggagescreeningandticketreview.
Qualifications
- Mustbe aUSCitizen.
- MustpossessaHighSchoolDiplomaorG.E.D.
- Mustbeproficient intheEnglish language.
- Mustbe 18yearsofageorolder.
- Mustsuccessfullypassabackgroundinvestigationtoinclude acriminalcheck andfingerprintingpriortohire.SecurityScreenersarerequiredtobeableto obtain andmaintain aSecretClearance
- MustpassaDrugScreeningandMedicalEvaluation.
- Must successfully complete TSAs twoweek new hire training.
- Must be available to work various shifts weekends and holidays.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Constant standing lifting twisting and bending
