Are you looking for a permanent opportunity within an established practice and support from a Lead Vet and Nursing team

Medivet Bretton offers a wide range of complex diagnostic equipment and treatment options including endoscopy and ultrasound. The team is made up of a knowledge lead Vet Pedro who holds a BSAVA Post Grad Certificate in Small Animal Surgery our HVN Kelly 2 RVNs SVN VCA and 2 CCAs.

This multivet practice works to a high level including: laparoscopic spays full dental suite including dental xray high quality ultrasound including doppler and digital xray. In addition the branch has a large array of surgical equipment including TPLO kit operating microscope and full ophthalmology diagnostic tools. Our vets have a keen interest in orthopaedic surgery and have a fully equipped orthopaedic theatre.

The role is 4 days per week and 1 in 6 weekends and there is free parking onsite.

Role Accountabilities

Exceptional care is at the heart of everything we do at Medivet. Thats the care for our patients our clients and for each other we really want to make a positive difference through every interaction we have.

In this role you will:

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients
  • Support with surgeries and procedures completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care
  • Dispense and check medication
  • Deliver professional excellence complying with all regulatory practice and operational standards
  • Hold briefings to engage and coordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice

Your Skills and Experience

  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague
