Your purpose: As a Press Assistant you willassist the Press Operator in setting up and running of an 8 or 10 color Flexographic Printing press. Essential Functions: - Assist setting up 8 or 10 color Flexographic Printing press.
- Load and unload rolls on machine must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Load and unload print sleeves and anilox.
- Check ink viscosity and clean print station and ink pumps.
- Assemble and adjust doctor blade chamber.
- Able to take direction and follow Press Operator needs.
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness to keep machine operable.
- Ability to maintain housekeeping for the press and workstation.
- Responsible for condition of machine and work area.
- Clean plates & anilox.
- Work safely at all times.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee will be primarily in our climatecontrolled facility. The plant floor is subject to vibration and equipment noise leading to a loud environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and might also be exposed to outside conditions tight spaces cleaning solvents and heights. Physical Demands:The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. - Continuous 6 or more hours per day) bending pushing pulling climbing stairs reaching lifting and grasping.
- Continuous 6 or more hours per day) talking listening teaching and repetitive motion hand/wrist movement.
- Continuous 6 or more hours per day) standing and walking.
- Frequent 1 to 3 hours per day) work in a stooped position.
- Good eyesight normal hearing.
- Ability to move and lift objects frequently 50 lbs.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a fulltime position on rotating 12hour nights 6pm6am). Nights and hours may vary depending on assigned shift and productions requirements. This position may require significant work hours beyond the normal workday based on the demands of the business cycle or customer volume of business. Travel: Should not be required. Required Education and Experience: - Ability to maintain quality safety and/or infection control standards.

- Knowledge of equipment operation and/or maintenance.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to read sort check count and verify numbers.

- High School diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
