Job Description
NiX Game & VR Studio is a team of 100 professionals delivering topquality games game assets and VR solutions to various game and media enterprises and startups. We are currently looking for an experienced and detailoriented 3D Character Artist with a strong focus on anatomy and hard surface skills to deliver greatlooking realistic 3D characters for AAA games of different genres. This is a unique opportunity to work on a project that pushes the boundaries of character animation and realism.
Responsibilities:
- Create realistic and anatomically accurate characters and outfits.
- Sculpt and refine characters ensuring proper proportions and topology.
- Collaborate with animators to ensure smooth integration of characters into the animation pipeline.
- Optimize models for performance while retaining high visual fidelity.
- Creation of realistic outfits (clothes and hard surface elements)
- Match the required art style of a project
- Cooperate with the team lead and other artists to streamline the art creation process
Required Skills:
- Strong understanding of human anatomy
- Strong sculpting modeling and texturing skills (organic and hard surface)
- Strong understanding of cloth simulation (Marvelous Designer).
- Ability to follow and correctly interpret the concept
- Good understanding of character topology for animation
- Strong knowledge of Maya ZBrush Marvelous Designer Substance Painter Marmoset Toolbag Photoshop
- Understanding of technical limitations and art pipelines
- Understanding of Unreal Engine.
- Strong portfolio showing 3D art skills
- Good organization time management problemsolving and communication skills
- Familiarity with the game development cycl
- UpperIntermediate Ukrainian
As a plus:
- Ability to create and texture a 3D model from an image or description
- Ability to communicate in English
- Experience with AAA production pipeline
- Passion for games
