The F135 Sustainment Affordability group is seeking a goaloriented detailfocused technical and financially insightful project manager to join our team.

This individual will serve as the F135 Sustainment Affordability lead focused on ECU providing leadership to all crossfunctional team activity. This key role will integrate development production and sustainment activities that impact cost into sustainment projections liaise across the program to drive major sustainment cost reduction initiatives coordinate development of business cases and provide strategic communication with the customer to convey the status of cost reduction efforts for the program.

This position requires proven project management ability solid analysis skills outstanding communication and teamwork skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.

What You Will Do:

  • Drive integration of cost assessment activities and approaches across F135 production development and sustainment programs.
  • Establish and track affordability targets and catalyze generation of new cost reduction opportunities.
  • Plan and lead strategic sustainment affordability initiatives to address F135 program affordability objectives.
  • Build solid relationships with internal and external stakeholders to effectively communicate sustainment affordability vision plans targets and status.
  • Manage or perform business case analysis of potential sustainment affordability projects.
  • 1st Shift
  • 10 or less travel

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in STEM (Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics)
  • 8 years of experience in customer/product support project/program management general business management sustainment operations and or strategic planning is required with a Bachelors degree and 5 years with an advanced degree
  • US Citizenship required due to government contracts.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Project Management general business management and/or strategic planning experience
  • Financial analysis or business case experience on major initiatives
  • Achieved or pursuing an Advanced degree in business.
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of propulsion life cycle cost
  • Familiarity with gas turbine maintenance activities and concepts

Military Engines Engineering (MEE)

MEE consists of Program Chief Engineers who provide leadership and support for Military Engine programs including Fighters (F100 F119 Mobility (F117 PW4062 for KC46 Tanker) TF33 F135 Military Development Programs and APUs as well as the Engine Life Management Team.

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles commuting to and from the assigned site is the employees personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
