About the Role

We are seeking a creative enthusiastic and engaging English and Literature teacher who will inspire our students to think creatively and discover new talents. With experience at VCE level an advantage this position will provide you with the opportunity to develop in your profession. This is a fulltime position throughout the remainder of 2025 with the possibility of an ongoing role for the right candidate with a Term 2 start.

Classroom teachers are trusted professionals responsible for the care learning and wellbeing of the students. At PVCC we genuinely enjoy being a part of a students learning journey as we watch them grow and develop. As part of the teaching team and members of a Christian learning community the Secondary Teacher plays a pivotal role in instructing students in a manner that is consistent with the Christian values of the College.

About the College

Plenty Valley Christian College (PVCC) is a kindergarten to Year 12 coeducational Christian College of more than 950 students. We are one College with five subschools: Kindergarten Early Years Junior Years Middle Years and Senior Years.

The College is set in a magnificent semirural area with spectacular views to the ranges. Plenty Valley Christian College is committed to developing high quality effective Christian education and is an active member of a national network of Christian schools in Australia known as Christian Education National. We are committed to the establishment of a close partnership with parents in the education of their children. Skills & Qualifications (Key Selection Criteria):

  • The ability to model Christian ethics and activity
  • Must hold recognised tertiary qualifications in English
  • Qualified teacher with current VIT registration
  • Outstanding teaching skills
  • Experience in a similar role highly desirable but not essential
  • An ability to develop constructive relationships with students which engender positive attitudes to learning
  • An ability to plan reflect work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
