Job Description

Job Overview:
Linde is currently seeking an Instrument & Electrical Technicianthat will be based at our Garland TX ASU location. This position will report to the Facilities Manager and will work with Production and Maintenance Technicians as a Team to perform duties at the Garland ASU and Fort Worth CO2 facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain documentation such as EAM/Procal work orders service reports and equipment calibration records as required by standards and procedures.
- Troubleshooting maintenance and repair of low voltage electrical systems 600VAC and below).
- Troubleshooting calibration and maintenance of pneumatic analog and digital process control instrumentation utilizing P&ID and Schematic wiring diagram.
- Schedule and perform activities related to the operation and maintenance of electrical and electronic control systems pneumatics instrumentation control valves motor control systems low voltage electrical distribution computer interfaces and analytical equipment
- Support of startup / shutdown and operations of process plant equipment
- Process analytical equipment calibration and maintenance which may include Thermal Conductivity Gas Chromatograph Electrolytic process analyzers.
- Ensure spare parts are available or replaced when used/installed.
- Use RCA methodology on failures and support plant reviews
- Prepare and execute projects to improve facility availability and reliability
- Maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all times.
- Required to climb ladders stairways work from high elevations and operate manlifts for elevated instrumentation and control valve maintenance.
- Schedule and Direct contractor activities in all related areas covered above when required
This position requires a combination of office work and field work.The technician will support the operation of our facilities to ensure they are maintained in a safe reliable and environmentally friendly manner.The job occasionally requires overtime and callouts on weekend nights and holidays.Employee must be able to access elevated electrical and mechanical equipment via ladders scaffolding and manlifts.Position also requires providing turnaround support within the region.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are needed to develop working relationships with maintenance and operations personnel in a team environment.
