The Mundy Companiesa leader in the industrial maintenance services and construction fields is currently hiringthe following for a longterm position in the Pasadena Texasarea:
MANUAL MACHINIST
Successful candidates will have a minimum of five 5 years of continuous and current experience as a Manual Machinistin a petrochemical industrial or manufacturing environment. The pay range for this position is $25$35 an hour depending on experience and interview performance.
Qualified applicants will have their own tools and micrometers up to six inches 6 and possess knowledge on operating manual equipment while holding close tolerances. Must have knowledge of reciprocating compressor components pump components turbomachinery components. Must also be able to make setups of any of the equipment mentioned belowwith production output in mind.
Machinery used includes:
- Engine lathes
- Vertical turret lathes
- Horizontal boring mills
- Knee mills
The successful candidate will maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness at all time. This positions requires a strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a safe efficient manner. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing is also required.All qualified applicants must be craft certified or possess the ability to pass a craft test as well as the ability to pass a criminal background check preemployment drug screen and other qualifications as required.
