Job Title :Network Security Solutions Architect
Contract :Freelance

Context :
Our company focuses heavily on developingSolution Architecturewhen building new infrastructure solutions and supporting IT projects for internal and external customers. These customers includeour members development teams and Infrastructure Services itself.
As aNetwork Security Solutions Architect you will be part of theinfrastructure department working alongside a team ofapproximately seven solution architects. Together withInfrastructure Services Security and the Enterprise Architect you will design thefuture infrastructure architecture.
Additionally you willadvise the ICT organizationonNetwork Solutions Architectureand be responsible for deliveringsolution architecture for projects.
Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the design development and integration of ICT systemsin alignment withEnterprise Architecture
- Leadingcomplex projectsby understandingclient needs identifyinggaps between requirements and and definingsolutions
- Evaluatingvendor proposalsfor projects requiringexternal input ensuringhighquality solutions at optimal costs
- Communicating technical issues and IT solution strategiestostakeholders and IT teams
- Delivering Infrastructure Roadmapsin collaboration withArchitecture Security Infrastructure Product Owners SARs SDMs and Procurement
- Identifying project dependenciesand makingstrategic decisionson project timelines and deliverables
- Key Focus Areas:
- Designing theNetwork Architectureand defining the necessarygovernance and best practices
- DevelopingNetworking strategy and roadmapsto ensure asecure stable and continuous evolution
- Supportinginfrastructure management domain architects and infrastructure teamsin implementing these roadmaps
- Providingrecommendationsonplatform evolution(cloud onpremise hybrid)
- Translatingfunctional and business requirements into network architecture
- Assisting ininfrastructure project implementation
- Advisingonoptimization & efficiencyby moving towardsautomation selfservices and standardized services
- Working in anagilemanner ensuring regulardeliverables with tangible results
Project Phases :
1. Preparation Phase (Upstream Work)
- Collaborating withICT Infrastructure Services clientsto understandbusiness needs
- Developingalternative solutionswithdomain architects security officers and infrastructure teams
- Using workshops like impact mappingto evaluate alternative solutions
- Working with otherICT teamsto design theSolution Architecture
- CreatingArchitecture Design views 41 Model)
- Logical & Process Views(cocreated with domain architects & Infrastructure Services)
- Implementation & Physical Views(cocreated with Infrastructure Services)
- Identifying business risksrelated to solution implementation and mitigating these risks
- Determiningachievable SLAs versus cost impact
2. Implementation Phase
- Ensuring thatArchitecture Views 41remain uptodate throughout the project
- Guaranteeing that theSolution Architecture aligns with customer needsduring implementation
- Ensuring projectcompliance with the Solution Architecture Design and defined scope
- Providing advice and technical supportto teams
- Overseeingsolution testing
3. Lifecycle Management
- Handover of Architecture Views 41andDisaster Recovery Plans (DRP/DA)toProduct Owners ensuring they remain updated throughout the solutions lifecycle

- Experience inenterprise network designandZero Trust architectures
- Knowledge ofSDWAN VPN MPLS andhybrid network solutions
- Experience withCloud Security Posture Management (CSPM)
- Integration ofonpremise and cloud security solutions
- 2. Zscaler Expertise
- Indepth knowledge ofZscaler Internet Access (ZIA)andZscaler Private Access (ZPA)
- Implementation and configuration ofZscaler Branch Connectors
- Integration withActive Directory (SAML SCIM ADFS Azure AD)
- Understanding ofZscaler Advanced Threat Protection & SSL Inspection
- Zscaler Cloud Connectorand integration withAWS Azure GCP
- 3. Check Point Firewalls & Security
- Experience withCheck Point NextGeneration Firewalls (NGFW)andThreat Prevention
- Configuration and management ofCheck Point Security Gateways and Management Servers
- Policy managementVPN configuration and Identity Awareness
- Integration withSIEM solutionslikeSplunk and Sentinel
- 4. Aruba Networking
- Experience withAruba ClearPass and Aruba Central
- Configuration and management ofAruba Switches and Wireless Controllers
- Integration of802.1X Network Access Control (NAC) with security solutions
- Optimization ofWiFi performance and security policies
- 5. Citrix NetScaler (ADC)
- Experience withCitrix NetScaler (ADC) Load Balancing & GSLB
- Management ofSSL Offloading and Citrix Gateway
- Troubleshootingperformance issuesand optimizing NetScaler configurations
- 6. Scripting & Automation
- Experience withAPI integrations and automationPython Terraform REST API
- Knowledge ofInfrastructure as Code (IaC)fornetwork and security automation
- Dutch/French (spoken and/or understood) and English
