Job Description
Job Description We are seeking engaged and collaborative individuals to join our team as a BIPOC Unity Center Peer Educators (BUCPE). BIPOC Unity Center Peer Educators (BUCPE) work alongside the professional staff of the Center to provide guidance in the development design and practical application of resources and services provided throughout the Campus within the framework of these goals and mission of the Office. BUCPE advance their skills in program coordination marketing and public speaking as well as workshop presenting (Conferences/SLI) and facilitating conversations around identity diversity equity justice and social change.
Job Overview
- Facilitate independently or cofacilitate with other peer educators original workshops for students that introduce frame and advance aspects of identity social change and equity.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials coordinating annual and events and introducing new creative ways to engage the campus by helping to develop new initiatives through the Center or other potential campus partners
- Assist with office coverage for the BIPOC Unity Center office suite during business hours including but not limited to: answering phones taking messages opening and closing the office copying data entry making deliveries to and from various campus offices and greeting visitors
- Assist professional staff members in the Center with existing projects and initiatives assigned to each BUCPE.
- Support the planning and of largescale events examples include: First Friday BIPOC Unity Center Hour podcast Caf Heritage/History Month
- Support the of office scholarship programs (MLK and IAP)
- Attend and participate in regularly scheduled student staff meetings trainings and development opportunities.
- Other Duties as assigned.

Pay Rate:
Pay rate currently is $15.50 an hour and students can expect to work610 hours a week during the academic year. Summer and Winter opportunities may be available.
Working Hours:
- Semester: offering 610 hours
- Preference to candidates who can fill these gaps:Tuesday and Thursday Mornings
- Program and Event support may include evenings and weekends based on the operational needs of the BIPOC Unity Center.
Special consideration for candidates who are 21 with a drivers license
Must be able to attend Thursday 45pm Weekly Staff Meetings and pre semester trainings.
Preferred Qualifications Possess marketing and graphic design skills (Canva Photoshop Video capturing and editing and etc). Strong understanding of campus resources
