Job Description

A Day in the Life and the Impact Youll Make:

The Automotive Technician is responsible for performing applicable tests and inspections according to local regulations and the DEKRA standards. This individual is also responsible for oil changes performing minor safety maintenance managing cash delivering services with exceptional customer service and maintaining the property grounds and equipment.

What Youll Do:

  • Perform state specific tests and inspections according to local regulations and the DEKRA standards
  • Performs Technician duties as required such as inspect fluids changing oil and oil filters cabin filters tire pressure rotating tires replace bulbs and wipers.
  • Perform product sales and services
  • Deliver all services and address all customers with exceptional customer service
  • Answer telephone calls and assist customers by answering any questions and/or addressing any concerns
  • Effectively manage cash and noncash payment received. This includes daily reconciliation of all payments received and completing bank deposits
  • Maintain the property grounds and equipment at the station
  • Complete required tasks outlined in the daily checklists at your station
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times adhering to the DEKRA standards
  • Ensure safety practices are followed in bay area securing bay chains wearing safety glasses nonslip shoes and other safety items as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business needs

What Youll Bring:

  • Experience:
    • Oil and lube experience preferred
    • 1 2 years automotive retail experience preferred
  • Certifications/Licenses: Certification to perform emissions tests and inspections
  • Valid drivers license
  • Committed to excellent customer service
  • Ability to manage cash and noncash payments

Physical Considerations:

  • Must be able to lift up to fifty 50 pounds
  • While on the job employees must be able to walk stand bend stoop twist etc for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Requires use of hands to perform activities involving holding grasping pulling and turning

Travel Considerations:

  • No travel required for this position

What Youll Receive for the Value You Bring:

Compensation:

The base pay for this position is $17.00/hour $19.00/hour. Actual pay is based on several factors including market location and positionrelated knowledge skills and experience. This position is also eligible for commission and monthly bonus.
