We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our multidisciplinary team on a casual basis. The nurse will administer infusion therapy for GreenShieldNKS rotating between clinics in Windsor Ontario region.
ROLE IN A NUTSHELL
- Provide exceptional patient and customer service in keeping with GreenShieldNKS Health values.
- Administer intravenous therapy and monitor patients under the care of a physician.
- Administer IM/SC injections as ordered
- Take appropriate action in situations where the safety and wellbeing of the patient may be compromised.
- Adhere to best work safety practices and procedures
- Strong commitment to Pharmacovigilance and Adverse Event reporting.
- Report Adverse Events as needed
- Adhere to nursing practices as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Commitment to continuing education
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Minimum of 2 years experience with IVs.
- Experience with IV antibiotics and biologics preferred
- Experience with Pediatric patient population an asset
- Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Currently registered (or commitment to register) with RNAO or equivalent for PLP (add this line in)
- Current BLS required. ACLS an asset
- Proficiency in English both verbal and written required.
- Valid Ontario drivers license and reliable vehicle required.
- Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills.
- Possesses the physical ability to perform the daytoday duties described in the duties and responsibilities.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID19
Qualifications
Proficiency in English is required for this position. As part of this role you will be required to communicate with colleagues clients or customers who predominantly use English as their primary language. English language skills are essential to ensure effective and efficient communication both verbally and in writing and will enable strong collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
