Job Description
IR Radiologic Technologist Full Time Days position in the Interventional Radiology Unit at Lutheran Health Network Lutheran Hospital
- Sign on bonus eligible up to $25000
- Full Time 32 hours per week 8 hour shifts
- Hours: day shift with call 1 day a week & every 5th weekend (shifts times vary); Call response time: 30 minutes

About this unit:
This is a highlevel Interventional Radiology Lab that performs emergent procedures to support our Comprehensive Stroke Center Accreditation and Level II trauma services. This team also performs a vast array of IR procedures on Lutheran Hospital outpatients and inpatients

Job Summary:
- Under the immediate directionof the Nurse Manager Interventional Radiologyassists physician and medical team in preparing patientsand performinginterventional radiology procedures through scrubbing and circulating duties.
- Interventional Radiology procedures include (but arent limited to) the following: embolization of acute bleeds cerebral/carotid angiogram and intervention acute stroke intervention (ischemic and hemorrhagic) chemo embolization tumor embolization fistulagram with intervention placement of dialysis catheters vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty peripheral angiogram with intervention arterial andvenous lysis treatment inferior vena cava filter placement/retrieval transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt placement tunneled drain placement percutaneous drain placement central line placement gastric/jejunal tube placement infusaport placement/removal and tunneled catheter placement for long term infusions.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
- Current state licensure and registration (or eligible) with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
- Current Indiana State Board of Health General Certificate for Radiographers
- CPR within 30 days of hire
- ACLS within 1 year of hire
Experience:
- Prefer prior procedural area Rad Tech experience possibly with IR and/or Cath Lab
Education:
- Successful completion of a radiological diagnostic education from an accredited program.
