The AHP team at Pulse is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our team in Bristol. Our clinicians are fulfilled by the idea of affecting even the smallest positive changes in our young people so we celebrate the little things.

Our newly opened purposebuilt stateoftheart school caters primarily to children with Social Emotional and Mental Health needs as well as children with autism who have moderate learning needs. The school provides education for up to 50 children aged 8 to 16.

Role Overview:

As part of a multidisciplinary clinical team you will support educational and residential colleagues to provide therapeutic living and learning environments. Based on clinical assessment and formulation you will offer individualized interventions and engagement to our young people.

Our Speech & Language Therapists work collaboratively within our schools and childrens homes ensuring that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education care and support we offer. You will provide consultation workshops training and guidance to the educational and residential teams around our children.

Your main responsibilities as a Speech and Language Therapist:

You will provide therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs. You will support teams around each child to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments. You will offer consultation workshops training and guidance to educational and residential teams. You will engage in clinical assessment and formulation to develop individualized intervention plans.

What we are looking for in a Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC.
  • Specialist with proven skills and experience in delivering therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex needs.
  • Experience in supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments.
  • Confident engaging and effective model guide leader and trainer.
  • Highly organized and proactive.
  • Committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people.
