What does the growth potential look like
We focus heavily on employee career progression and provide many internal opportunities for upward advancement. A Sr. Software Engineer will typically progress to Principal Engineer and/or Architect. There are also opportunities to move into other departments depending on your areas of interest.

What qualifications were looking for:
Sr. Software engineer with 5 years of experience inJavaSpringBootmicroservices.
Solid experience withJenkins Docker/Kubernetes on Cloud (Azure or AWS)
Good handson experience with large scale distributed systems based on microservices
Experience with data pipelines processing large amounts of data inReal Time or Near Real Time.
Knowledgeable (at least) on Lakehouse architecture Azure ADLS Gen2Apache Hudi
Excellent organization criticalthinking and personal leadership skills
Selfstarter with the ability to deliver with minimal supervision
Being okay with the uncomfortable feeling that comes from learning new things
Team player
Analytical mind with problemsolving aptitude
Proven experience as a great Engineer
We also really like candidates that have a good understanding of Enterprise Design patterns.
What does a typical day look like for a Data Software Engineer
You would be responsible for designing developing implementing and supporting our emerging big data analytics capabilities through the development and maintenance of advanced data ingestion processing modeling and reporting capabilities.
The majority of your day would be spent working with a crossfunctional team of developers business analysts and quality analysts to specify design develop test and implement software.
Were huge on professional development and so theres always a training class hackathon or an internal course being offered.
Education
Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related discipline

AtPointClickCare base salary is one of the many components that make up our total rewards package.The CAD base salary rangefor this position is $(not overtime eligible) bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined byjob and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the target for new hire salaries for the position across all CADlocations. Within the range individual compensation is determined by jobrelated skills and knowledge relevant experienceincluding professional and lived experience and/or work location.
