A Hybrid working model

What does a Compositing Artist do at Hogarth
We are looking for a handson Compositing Artist with expertise in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop and Nuke. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the interactive space and its production requirements as well as project management skills organizational and leadership skills and an eye for detail.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Responsible for production and postproduction of animations using internal proprietary processes and tools as well as industry standard methods and tools
- Work closely with Motion Graphic Production Team Leads Interactive Developers and Design Video and Software teams
- Work on multiple projects simultaneously and ensure production deadlines are met with accurate file handoffs for localization
- Creates streamlined organized files with anticipation of the production pipeline potential technological constraints and a tight localization schedule.
- Review final deliverables with an exacting eye ensuring all work meets client quality standards for video and animation deliverables Provide production solutions through testing research and prototyping
- Coordinate training of newer team members with help from Team Leads and Production Manager
- Identify and help implement opportunities for automation process design file format and technical improvements
- 7 years experience with Adobe After Effects
- After Effects compositing and animation experience with scripting and expressions a plus
- Nuke and Maya to After Effects workflow understanding or experience a plus
- Solid understanding of basic 3D principles & pipeline Photoshop knowledge and expertise including but not limited to smart objects resolutionand file export options
- Illustrator knowledge and expertise pertaining to vector based animations
- Solid standardsbased HTML CSS and general web publishing knowledge
- Batch production Adobe Javascript and Mac based scripting experience a plus
- Render farm setup and usage experience also a plus
- Highly detail oriented with a drive for perfection down to the last pixel
- Thrives in a challenging fastpaced web publishing workplace
- Selfmotivated with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Establishes rapport and collaborates easily
- Able to adhere to a consistent graphic production and checking process while also identifying opportunities for improvement
- Problem solver with experience troubleshooting technical challenges
- Resourceful adaptable creative and resultsoriented with high energy and a positive attitude
Preferred:
- Artists should be able to extract sequence animations from After Effects in formats that integrate seamlessly with Nuke ensuring smooth workflows between applications.
- The ability to export render passes from After Effects preserving layer structures and effects for easy compositing in other down stream softwares.
- Artists should be able to leverage custom scripting or expressions in After Effects to optimize outputs for downstream compositing.
This is a contract role.
The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on jobrelated factors including location business needs level of responsibility experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package go to for more details.
