The School Psychology Program at Texas Womans University invites applications for atenuretrack advanced Assistant or Associate rankposition in our APAaccredited PhD and NASPaccredited Specialist training programs housed in the School of Social Work Psychology and Philosophy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a new colleague who will teach conduct research projects and serve as an advisor within our Doctoral (APAaccredited and NASPapproved) and Specialist (NASPaccredited) programs. Our new colleague will have an established and growing program of research as evidenced by a strong publication and presentation record. They will chair and serve on dissertation committees. Further our new colleagues will have an interest in program leadership duties specifically as Program Coordinator of our Specialist in School Psychology program or Practicum and Internship Coordinator.

Graduate teaching may be tailored to match applicants areas of specialization; however ideal candidates will have an interest and expertise in our assessment sequence (e.g. cognitive academic neuropsychological socialemotional) or our practice sequence (e.g. therapeutic and crisis intervention multicultural psychology practicum/internship). However those with other research interests related to school psychology are also encouraged to apply.

For this position we are looking for a future colleague to also take on a leadership role as program coordinator of our Specialist in School Psychology program. This responsibility will include maintaining data fielding inquiries and other administration responsibilities related to the program. Program coordinators are typically afforded additional resources to complete their administrative duties at TWU such as course releases and additional professional development funds as they are available. They will also be working collaboratively with the program coordinator of the School Psychology PhD program.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The minimum qualifications for the position include a doctoral degree (e.g. Ph.D. Psy.D. Ed.D. etc. in School Psychology from an APAaccredited Doctoral program at the time of application. For this position we are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of experience as a tenuretrack faculty member in a School Psychology program. Applicants must be licensed or license eligible as a psychologist or as a school psychologist in Texas.

The School of Social Work Psychology and Philosophy at TWU is housed within the College of Arts and Sciences which has 35 of TWUs graduate and undergraduate population of over 15000. The Division of Psychology has 16 fulltime faculty over 400 undergraduate psychology majors and five graduate programs: Masters in Counseling Psychology Masters in Psychological Science Specialist in School Psychology (NASPaccredited) Doctoral Counseling Psychology (APAaccredited) and Doctoral School Psychology (APAaccredited NASPapproved).
