Position Purpose and Objectives

The Human Resources teams mission is to make Texans Credit Union a great place to work for everyone on the team. We are committed to providing a highquality employee experience at every touchpoint as well as leading by example as champions of the culture.

As a Human Resources Business Partner you will play an integral role in aligning department objectives and our people strategy with your designated business units to help support the overall business goals of Texans Credit Union. This position builds strong relationships with leaders and employees to enhance performance by supporting employee development discovering talented candidates for open roles serving as a trusted people resource and accurately executing employment law processes.

Major Duties and Essential Functions

  • Above all acts as an example and advocate of Texans Credit Union EPIC culture through consistent and authentic actions.
  • Engages with leaders and employees using a handson approach to explore ways in which the department can enrich their experiences throughout the entire employee life cycle.
  • Provides leaders coaching and support in the performance management process. Reviews and makes recommendations on all Performance Corrections and Performance Reviews. Participates in terminations as HR representative.
  • Provides employee relations support to leaders and employees. Acts as a coach to managers for sensitive employee issues. Primary contact for employees to address concerns.
  • Builds and maintains effective working relationships with leaders and employees to provide advice and counsel on Human Resourcesrelated matters while ensuring consistency in administration of company policies and practices.
  • Coordinates and leads employee engagement and recognition activities.
  • Owns HR onboarding process for all new hires including communication with new employees and internal business partners.
  • Owns HR offboarding processes for employees leaving the organization. Conducts employee exit interviews and provides information to HR leadership on trends or ongoing issues. Owns the unemployment claim process including response to all claims.
  • Provides recruiting support for designated business units. Meets with hiring managers reviews resumes and conducts phone screens with candidates.
  • Administers Texans Credit Union leave of absence (LOA) programs including FMLA and Workers Compensation in accordance with Texans policy and all applicable federal and state laws. Communicates with employees tracks time and maintains appropriate documentation.
  • Stays abreast of business Human Resources industry and compliance updates. Responsible for recommending and implementing process improvements and efficiencies for all HR processes and employee experiences.

Positions directly supervised

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for others.

  • Familiar with Paylocity or experienced with other HRIS and talent management systems.
  • SHRMCP or PHR preferred but not required.

Education

Bachelors degree from a fouryear college or university. May substitute related experience for education.

Experience

Four to seven years of related experience and/or training.
