RPOs client is actively seeking an experienced CAD Designer Pattern Maker (Clothing Design) to join their team in Pretoria East. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience in CAD design for garments working closely with product developers to deliver accurate productionready files.

This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and detailoriented professional who thrives in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment. This is a fulltime onsite position.

Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify key seasonal trends to guide design direction.
  • Create garment CAD designs and detailed tech packs to support the product development process.
  • Translate CAD designs into accurate patterns and grading.
  • Develop mood boards and color palettes to define design aesthetics.
  • Assist in trim development and ensure highquality finishes.
  • Design graphics and prints that align with the brands identity and target audience.
  • Support range building and competitor analysis to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Collaborate with the team on branded swing tickets trims and other design elements.
  • Maintain and organize overseas samples ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and apply new design innovations.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of proven experience as a CAD Designer within the clothing industry.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator (essential).
  • Strong artistic skills with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
  • Experience in CAD design for garments and trims.
  • Ability to translate design briefs into productionready files accurately.
  • Strong communication skills to clearly articulate design concepts.
  • Ability to work independently while managing tight deadlines.
  • A passion for fashion trends and design innovation.
