Overview

Front Desk Receptionist Health Fitness Center

PRN/OCC Variable Hours & Shifts

Shifts will be primarily afternoons evenings and some weekends 34 times per week.

****Must be at least 16 years of age or older****

Covenant Health Fitness Center is not just Knoxvilles best gym it is a 5star health club. The facility offers a wide variety of group fitness classes indoor and outdoor tennis heated indoor and outdoor pool pickleball racquetball Squash childcare basketball court in addition to a full selection of strength and cardio equipment.

Covenant Health Fitness Center is the only Tennessee Quality awardwinning fitness facility in the state. With fivestar amenities extensive classes programs for all ages of the family and The Day Spa we truly are Knoxvilles best Health and Fitness Center.

In addition to the amenities found throughout the gym our programs include aquatics racquet sports youth classes individual training opportunities Weight Management program Small Group Training virtual fitness and group fitness. Our group fitness classes range from kickboxing and cardio classes to indoor cycling and mind/body wellness. Strength training options include resistance equipment free weights and body sculpting classes.

Position Summary:

Greets assists and directs all incoming telephone calls visitors and other customers.

Responsibilities

  • Answers telephones routes callers takes messages and provides routine information to callers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Greets customers visitors and/or patients and provides direction. Ascertains the nature of their business; assists visitors and other customers to various locations on the FSW campus when appropriate.
  • Responds in a timely manner to requests inquiries and concerns. If cannot satisfy the member finds the appropriate person who can.
  • Checks each member and guest into the center. Distributes keys towels and other equipment as needed. Provides guests with guest registry for signature. Receives payment and rings into register. Retrieves and folds towels on an ongoing basis.
  • Reviews staff notes book daily to keep informed of changes in classes programs leagues and special activities scheduled for the day. Posts changes in schedule.
  • Knowledgeable of staff members names and the departments they work.
  • Uses the established signup system to reserve racquetball squash and tennis times for members guests and staff.
  • Manages program enrollment and money transactions such as guest fees personal fitness trainer fees membership dues and tennis lesson fees. Places monies in appropriate accounts.
  • Cooperates in maintaining cleanliness and safety of front desk.
  • Follows policies procedures and safety standards. Works toward achieving goals and objectives and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.

Minimum Experience:

None. Strong customer service skills; must be able to multitask in a very busy environment.
