Job Description
Summary of Position:
Performs duties to identify order store and assemble a wide variety of Electrical/ElectroMechanical/Mechanical components and assemblies. Performs simple wire and soldering operations using current manufacturing processes. Must be able to perform Go/No Go tests on small lights controls and various other subassemblies/finished models.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works from blueprints schedules shop orders specification sheets process instructions and test instructions.
- Reviews production schedules for specific periods and arranges for parts materials supplies tooling gauges and other equipment to meet production requirements.
- Requisitions and stores materials.
- Passes Kan Ban cards to producing departments per defined guidelines.
- Accumulates and moves items between storage areas and work cells.
- Fills out and submits requisitions move tickets finished goods tickets and s tickets.
- Selects verifies and identifies quantity of materials. Records and/or calls attention to shortages possible rejected or damaged materials.
- Sets up work cell equipment.
- Makes necessary adjustments of tools gauges and equipment. Makes operational checks as required. Monitors work visually to maintain quality standards and notifies supervisor of nonconformance and/or operating difficulties.
- Performs preventative maintenance (cleaning oiling inspecting and minor adjustments) on equipment in the work cell.
- Trains new and existing employees how to effectively work within the department instructs them in all facets of the work cell operation.
- Follows safety rules and keeps work cell area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Uses computer to check the status of a customers order and the status of a shop order.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education and Work Experience:
- High School diploma required.
- Experience with light mechanical and/or electrical assembly required.
- Ability to operate power tools hand tools pallet jacks hand trucks fixed gauges jigs meters soldering irons riveters presses and crimping tools required.
- Mechanical aptitude attention to detail and sound judgement required.
Wage Range: $16.42/hr $20.87/hr
