Job Description
Freedom Technology Solutions Group is seeking a Cloud Engineer. The Cloud Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing deploying and managing our cloud infrastructure to ensure the availability performance and security of our applications and services. You will work closely with crossfunctional teams to implement cloud solutions that align with our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with architects to design scalable and costeffective cloud architecture solutions considering factors such as high availability disaster recovery and security
- Deploy and configure cloud services and resources on platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform ensuring best practices and optimization
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code scripts (e.g. Terraform CloudFormation) to automate provisioning and manage cloud resources
- Implement and monitor security measures access controls and compliance policies to safeguard cloud infrastructure and data
- Set up monitoring alerting and performance tuning processes to ensure the reliability and efficiency of cloud environments
- Investigate and resolve cloudrelated issues providing technical support and root cause analysis
- Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure configurations and procedures
- Work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams including developers DevOps engineers and IT professionals to integrate cloud solutions into the development and operational processes
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP)
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes)
- Experience with network protocols security and compliance in cloud environments
- Scripting and programming skills (e.g. Python PowerShell Bash)
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus
