You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailMaineGeneral Palliative Care team is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
In this outpatient community position you will be joining the Palliative Care team in providing consultative and followup care to patients and families of the Palliative Care programs. The Palliative Care team is linked to the MaineGeneral Hospice program and staff participate periodically in Hospice services coverage.
Practice in collaboration with providers of the Hospice & Palliative Care teams. We provide outpatient evaluations and continuity management in the office home and facility setting. There will be opportunity to provide inpatient consultation/follow up support for palliative care and management for patients in the comfort unit a 5patient facility. Here patients receive skilled care longterm care and hospice general inpatient (GIP) level of service all with comfort focused treatment goals. Additionally you will be a resource to staff and families regarding treatment goals medical decisionmaking and end of life.
This full time position can include a weekly schedule of 32 40 hours and does not have a call requirement.
The ideal candidate will have a certification in Hospice and Palliative Care and be required to have the following:
Maine medical license
Maine DEA
Minimum of 3 years of RN experience in a clinical setting
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
