The DAmoreMcKim School of Business is seeking a Coop Coordinator to work with our undergraduate student population. This position is a fulltime nontenure track faculty position. You will join a team of more than 30 highlymotivated professional collaborative individuals who provide an outstanding cooperative education program to business students.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Education of Students:
The Coop Coordinator educates students through their career development. They educate advise and coach students developing and delivering effective teaching and coaching programs that enable students to be successful in todays global business environment. This includes but is not limited to working with students oneonone in workshops and in the classroom.
The Coop Coordinator teaches a career education course each semester and coachs students through group and individual meetings. Classroom preparation includes teaching interviewing skills professional behavior and communication and workplace ethics as well as leadership skills selfawareness and emotional intelligence development.
The Coop Coordinator also maintains contact with students while engaged in their coop experience and works with students through their postcoop reflection.
Integrated Learning:
Cooperative education is an integral part of the academic experience at Northeastern. Our philosophy is that learning in the classroom is enriched by practical experience and practical experience enriches classroom learning. The coordinator collaborates with academic faculty administration and the coop community to guide students in the integration of their coop and academic experiences. The Coop Coordinator shares knowledge of industry with academic faculty to integrate employmentbased learning with curriculumbased learning.
Employer Relations/Job Development:
The Coop Coordinator develops new partnerships and expands current employer programs by engaging with managers human resources contacts and alumni. They engage in lifelong learning to develop and maintain a current understanding of the industry employers and positions. Activities to support this endeavor include site visits to new and existing employers outreach to potential new coop employer partners and active participation in relevant professional organizations. Highlevel customerorientation strong presentation skills and experience in building and maintaining client relationships is essential. Prior professional experience in industry is preferred.
Service:
The Coop Coordinator also engages in service to the Cooperative Education department DAmoreMcKim School of Business and to Northeastern University. Service includes making presentations to prospective students and newly admitted students; participation on committees and task forces; and serving as an advisor to student organizations.

Qualifications:
A masters degree in college student development counseling education psychology or a businessrelated field is required by the appointment start date as well as a minimum of three years of professional work experience
Experience as a career coach certification preferable but not required.
Teaching experience in a classroom environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and comfort presenting to all audiences.
Experience working with staff and/or student populations.
Proficiency in computer/technology and database maintenance and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge and appreciation of cooperative education and/or experiential learning and its impact on an individuals career development.
Ability to effectively engage a diverse network of global stakeholders across time zones.
Preferred Qualifications:
An academic degree in a related business profession or experience in career development and counseling of business students.
Knowledge of cooperative education and/or experiential learning.
Experience working with an international student population.

Pay Range:
Assistant Coop Coordinator: $65000 $79000 Associate Coop Coordinator: $74000 $90000With the pay range(s) shown above the starting salary will depend on several factors which may include your education experience location knowledge and expertise and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarlysituated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
