Minimum Qualifications: | Holds the highest degree appropriate to the field or possesses equivalent qualifications based on professional experience and be otherwise qualified to perform assigned duties. The appointee engages in teaching scholarship and creative projects and/or service and other related activities. |
Position Qualifications: | Minimum requirements are a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field from an accredited institution by the start date of the appointment with a strong commitment to teaching academic research and service along with a potential for external funding. |
Preferred Qualifications | While all areas within Mechanical Engineering will be considered preference will be given to candidates with a background in composite materials nondestructive evaluation mechatronics marine engineering or hydrodynamics. |
