RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RIMUHC) is a worldrenowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. Position summary
Department / Research Program: CORE / Cancer Research Program
CERES (Centre for Relationships in Serious Illness) Lab
We are seeking a parttime Programmer to support clinical and research projects aimed at improving timely access to and quality of cancer supportive care services at the Cedars Cancer Centre of the MUHC. Working under the supervision of Dr. Justin Sanders Chief of the Division of Supportive and Palliative Care and Scientist at the RIMUHC the Programmer will develop test and maintain REDCap surveys and data collection tools. This role involves collaborating with researchers and clinicians to ensure efficient data management and analysis. The incumbent will play a key role in optimizing survey design and functionality to support research objectives.
General Duties
Develop and manage multiple REDCap databases to support clinical and academic research initiatives
Ensure database integrity perform updates and maintain the existing lymphedema database
Participate in weekly lab meetings related to the Centre for Relationships in Serious Illness
Demonstrate proficiency in REDCap survey creation data management and optimization
Collaborate effectively with researchers and clinicians to align database structures with study requirements
Maintain compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in research data management
Exhibit strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently to meet project deadlines.
Education: Masters Degree
Field of Study: Biomedical Engineering Health Informatics Data Science or related Computer Science
Work Experience: 5 years

Experience with database development
Familiarity with (or willingness to familiarize with) REDCap
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Good analytical and logic skills
Problem assessment and problem solving abilities
Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.
Status: Temporary parttime 21.5 hours per week)
Pay Scale: $29.85 $55.43/hour. Commensurate with education and experience
