The Communication Systems directorate makes some of the most cuttingedge products across the enterprise and the software group plays a very large role. We develop innovative solutions that keep our military members safe connected and informed.Our team has some of the most knowledgeable experts in the industry and work with all the most recent technologies in embedded software development.
As a Senior Software Engineer in this organization you will be involved in the development of stateoftheart communications systems to support UAVs fighter jets aircraft carriers and ground vehicles. We build robust networks that implement low latency and high throughput communications that include antijamming capabilities mobile adhoc features and IP connectivity.
What You Will Do:
YOU will contribute to our software development and integration on complex multithreaded embedded C and C product software code bases.
YOU will support the design and development of embedded software solutions and communications products
YOU will contribute to our project team activities related to the specification of requirements software implementation test case development verification test and certification support
YOU will mentor software developers in technical and processrelated areas
YOU will successfully work in a team environment establishing collaborative relationships with coworkers in person and through technology

Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a degree in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree 9 years of relevant experience
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is
U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer:
Active U.S. Department of Defense Clearance
Knowledge andor experience in communications systems and multithreaded embedded application software engineering development and integration
Experience with TDMA mobile adhoc network (MANET) IP and other networking and communication protocols
Experience working on an Agile team
