Medical Assistant Family Medicine

Work Schedule:

Parttime 80 FTE day shift. Monday Friday between the hours of 8:00am 5:00pm no weekends required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

Pay:UW Health offers a competitive compensation package. Work experience that is relevant to the position will be taken into consideration when determining the starting base pay.This position is eligible for up to a $2400 signon bonus (prorated on FTE/Hours).

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA CMA RMA CCMA LPN)to:

• Join our team of Family Medicine providers who provide diagnosis and treatment of both acute and chronic illnesses gynecological care and urgent care.
• Promote healthy lifestyles wellness and education.
• Provide quality care in a compassionate and patientfamily centered environment.
• Prepare patients for examination obtain vital signs document chief complaint medications and allergies perform EKGs and administer medications and treatments.

Education:

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following:

• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR
• Licensure as an LPN OR
• Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or
• Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR
• Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program Accelerated OR
• One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA RMA or CCMA Certification

Work Experience:

PreferredOne 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum

• Certified as CMA RMA or CCMA or eligible for certification. Certification must be obtained within one 1 year of hire date.
• If applying in lieu of Medical Assistant education or LPN licensure must have current CMA RMA or CCMA certification.
• CPR/BLS certification
