Job Responsibilities:
- Ability to make custom wiring harnesses and install onto truck bodies
- Upfit truck bodies onto commercial chassis
- Install inspect repair and maintain all electrical parts/lighting contained in a truck body
- Ability to perform riveting pin striping; manufacture and troubleshoot wiring harnesses.
- Perform installations modifications and repairs to transform commercial vehicles according to client specifications and industry standards.
- Install and integrate various upfitting components
- Collaborate with the engineering and design teams to ensure accurate interpretations and implementations of client requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues or challenges that arise during the upfitting process.
- Read work order
- Must be able to read blueprints
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure proper care and use of tools and equipment.
Requirements:
- Background in automotive repair / accessory installation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and handson experience in vehicle installations modifications and repairs.
- Proficiency in using various hand and power tools commonly used in the upfitting industry.
- Familiarity with electrical systems including wiring connectors and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to vehicle upfitting.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
