Job Description
Do you have experience in developing and delivering health innovation information to media the public and healthcare professionals Are you a skilled and strategic communicator with the ability to integrate diverse information and build campaigns to increase awareness of government programs
Ripple Effect is seeking multiple media professionals to join our team and play a critical role in supporting the groundbreaking work of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPAH) within the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
In this role you will be at the forefront of communicating ARPAH funded advancements. You will build strategies to deliver information for driving external engagement with ARPAHs achievements. You will catalyze the work of ARPANETH a nationwide health innovation network created by ARPAH to rapidly create and transition lifechanging health solutions to improve the lives of all Americans.

Responsibilities
- Develop communications plans and offer strategic recommendations for improved content and delivery of agency information.
- Draft press releases backgrounders talking points slides eblast/newsletter copies memos and reports for intended audiences.
- Develop and maintain contacts with key stakeholders at ARPAH research institutions and media. May serve as press officer for the Media Office.
- Coordinate media trainings and interview requests.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns that drive engagement among professional audiences with ARPAHs brand content events funding opportunities and employment needs.
- Monitor continuously improve and report marketing campaign performance.
- Assist with engagement communication logistics scheduling and strategic planning.
- Develop and implement engagement strategies for ARPANETH. Plan and track ARPANETH events. Create and coordinate messaging with the ARPANETH Hubs around ARPANETH projects.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in communication journalism or related fields
- 6 years of relevant professional experience
Basic Requirements
- Experience in strategic communications public or media relations
- Ability to develop external communications materials for a variety of audiences
- Social media platform and technical writing expertise
- Experience with developing marketing strategies processes and policies
- Experience with strategic engagement planning in a healthcare or related field including setting goals and objectives
- Experience in event planning in a health or science R&D organization including technical conferences offsite events executive meetings technology demonstrations and showcase events

Skills That Set You Apart
- Masters degree in a related field
- Experience in design thinking and social media communications
- Experience in human centered design of communications
- Experience translating biotechnology or scientific data and research results into digestible media communications
- Videography graphic and website design
- Experience establishing collaborations with stakeholders in healthcare field to inform marketing and engagement strategies
- Experience working with an ARPA agency
- Understanding of HHS policies and regulations
- Experience with government contracting or consulting
