100 FTE; core hours between 7:00 am 7:00 pm (Three twelve hour shifts one 4 hours shift) with rotating weekends.
As an Advanced Practice Provider youll play an integral role in our medical/surgical inpatient care teams by providing highquality costeffective care to patients.
We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistantto:
- Care for the sickest children in our region. We work closely with teams from Transplant Hematology/Oncology Neurosciences and Cardiology as well as other specialty services. We are a Pediatric Level 1 Trauma and Burn Center.
- Participate in daily rounding collaborating with the multidisciplinary team
- Provide consistent highquality care to our patients throughout the day.
- UW Healths Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Advisory Council ensures that your voices are heard. This unique advisory council serves to promote support advocate and advise on APP practice and provide expertise and counsel on APP roles across the organization.

Education:
Minimum
If Nurse Practitioner: Masters or Doctorates degree from accredited Nursing Program
If Physician Assistant:Bachelors or Masters degree from accredited PA Program.
Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure
If Nurse Practitioner:
- Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND
- Active board certification as a Pediatric Acute Care NP in area of clinical practice
- Two to three years of experience
If Physician Assistant:
- Active PA license including prescriptive authority in state(s) of practice AND
- Active PA board certification
- Two to three years of experience
All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
