About the role
Our Electrical Automation Technicians form an integral part of our maintenance team in our Packaging Centre.
- Install and commission electrical programming on our machines
- Perform routine equipment preventive maintenance
- Identify and rectify faults
- Provide troubleshooting to resolve equipment performance issues
- PLC based fault finding
- Ensure work is carried out to highest quality and safety standards and in accordance with SWS / SOPs and other standards
About you
As an Electrical Automation Technician you will be proactive curious and hard working. You understand emerging technologies and best practice.
You are a team player who supports others and puts a focus on problem solving.
- Electrical Trade Qualification & Electrical License (required)
- Demonstrated working experience with robotics cobotics process controls and instrumentation
- Experience in Packaging/Manufacturing environment or previous experience working on highly complex machines
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLC equipment HMIs DeviceNet and variable speed drives as well as JD Edwards
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy and numeracy skills
