Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for an Estimator to support our Vancouver Branch located in Surrey BC (Office Locationnd Avenue Surrey BC V3Z 3S6 reporting to the Chief Estimator.
A Day In The Life
- Complete takeoffs/estimate or assigned projects
- Follow up on multiscope or singlescope projects
- Attend prebid & postbid meetings
- Complete work orders & prepare material order sheets
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers
- Negotiating contract price/award price with clients
- Participate in initial handoff meetings production meetings and project autopsies.
- Visit job sites
- Consult communicate and build rapport with internal departments

What We Are Seeking
- 3 to 5 years Estimating work experience; experience in the Building Envelope (Glazing Metals/Roofing)industry is an asset.
- Architectural Technology Diploma Estimating Certificate education in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced team environment
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask
- General Building Envelope knowledge
- Sales skills
- Background in Building Science
- Basics of AutoCAD
