JanssenResearch & Development L.L.C. a member of Johnson & Johnsons Familyof Companies is recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join theDMPK group as a Postdoctoral Fellow in San Diego CA to contribute to researchon druginduced liver injury (DILI) a significant reason for drug attrition.
A large body of evidence suggests that capableof forming reactive metabolites (RMs) are associated with DILI. The primaryresponsibility of the candidate is to study the formation of reactivemetabolites using novel in vitro systems combined with stateoftheart highresolution liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LCMS/MS) systems toenhance safety assessment for drug molecules particularly in the drugdiscovery setting. The candidate will conduct in vitro biotransformation studiesto determine the metabolic pathway mechanism and structural identity ofmetabolites. A key object of this position is to develop validate andimplement new assays and analytical methods (e.g.LCMS and data analysis) totranslate to positive clinical outcomes. The results from these studies willoffer new tools and insights for DMPK to better support drug discoveryprograms and findings will be encouraged to be published in scientificconferences and/or peerreviewed journals.Johnson & Johnson is an Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer.
