Job Description

As a Team Leader for the Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS) Team you will oversee the design assembly and installation of complex electrical wiring systems for our electric aircraft. This role involves managing a team of skilled technicians ensuring precision and quality in all wiring tasks and collaborating with crossfunctional teams to meet project objectives while maintaining a commitment to sustainability.

How you will contribute to revolutionizing electric aviation:

    • Lead and manage the EWIS team fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
    • Oversee the installation and integration of electrical wiring systems ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and quality standards.
    • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for wiring assembly processes emphasizing safety precision and efficiency.
    • Collaborate with engineering design and quality assurance teams to address technical challenges and optimize wiring workflows.
    • Conduct inspections and testing to ensure the reliability and functionality of all wiring systems.
    • Train and mentor team members enhancing their technical skills and ensuring consistent application of best practices.
    • Monitor production schedules and resource allocation to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
    • Identify opportunities for process improvements and the adoption of advanced wiring techniques or tools.
    • Ensure compliance with environmental safety and regulatory standards in all wiring activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
    • 5 years of experience in electrical wiring systems or manufacturing leadership roles preferably in aerospace or electric vehicle industries.
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems wiring techniques and industry standards (e.g. IPC/WHMAA620.
    • Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.
    • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies.
    • Proficiency in interpreting wiring diagrams schematics and engineering drawings.
    • Excellent problemsolving organizational and communication skills.
    • Commitment to sustainability and environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.

Above and Beyond Qualifications that will distinguish you:

    • Masters degree in a relevant field or advanced certifications (e.g. Certified IPC Trainer).
    • Handson experience with automated wiring tools and advanced electrical testing equipment.
    • Knowledge of highvoltage electrical systems and integration in electric vehicles or aircraft.
    • Familiarity with digital manufacturing tools including MES and ERP systems.
    • Expertise in sustainability practices and lifecycle analysis within electrical manufacturing.
    • Proven track record of implementing innovative solutions in wiring system integration.
    • Experience working on electric aircraft or advanced wiring techniques for lightweight structures.
    • Established network within the aerospace wiring or electrical systems industry.

    • The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activities (hot cold wet humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking standing sitting climbing (i.e. ladders stairs) balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking standing or crouching on narrow slippery surfaces) bending reaching handling (seizing holding grasping turning picking punching) stooping kneeling crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
    • Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift pallet jack etc. in a safe manner.
    • While performing the duties of this job employees may work around variable noise levels or with fume or airborne particles hazardous chemicals etc. requiring the use of personal protective equipment such as face protection (safety glasses goggles face shield) gloves and hearing protection.
    • Work duties may also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment including a computer and/or the ability to travel by air or automobile.
    • This position may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization. Some positions entail working with small parts/components.
    • Employees must have excellent handeye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
