Whatyou will be doing:Youll be responsible forthe medical services for students including sick call and physical examinations in compliance with government and management directives.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Provide coordinated oncenter health and wellness services to include promotion prevention assessment intervention treatment and follow up of medical mental health drug and alcohol and oral health and wellness issues.
- Serve as a member of the mental health team and participate in monthly meetings with the center director to advise on programmatic issues.
- Recommend students for psychological and psychiatric evaluations and ensure treatment and followup is rendered.
- Recommend students to be monitored in chronic medical clinic and provide appropriate guidance to nursing staff in assisting these students in obtaining and maintaining optimal control of individual medical conditions.
- Assist health and wellness director in developing implementing and monitoring departmental budget. Advise on and implement costeffective measures and continuous quality improvement plan.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Valid license to practice medicine in the state of employment.
- Current DEA registration.
- Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record.
