Oracle DBA Lead Engineer
Primary Skills
- Oracle RAC Performance Tuning experience Familiarity with database monitoring AWS/Azure and performance analysis tools (e.g. OEM AWR).

- Description: What youll be doing...
- This position will be responsible for managing Enterprise wide Oracle Database environments into the Verizon wireless systems.
- Supporting multiple Prod/NonProd applications
- DB and SQL performance tuning
- Production / Development engagement
- Emerging technology development
- Security Management
- Capacity / Performance planning / Availability Management
- DB Upgrades and Patching
- Replication configuration upgrades and fixing issues
- Change Management
- Cloud Migration Responsibilities: The candidate should possess superior industry knowledge domain experience and expertise in Oracle Internals Performance Tuning RAC Configurations Security Administration Replication Data Modeling .
- Should have experience working closely with development teams to design & optimize database schema based on application access patterns.
- Need to maintain Oracle On Prem AWS RDS and EC2 db instances .
- Good experience on Oracle Database Architecture and RMAN Backup and recovery procedures.
- Prior experience working with Agile methodologies. .
- Replication technologies Golden Gate Shareplex etc . Data Guard configuration .
- Extensive experience in Amazon AWS cloud infrastructure with particular reference to provisioning security and management. Design AWS infrastructure to move local applications to public & private cloud.
- Design complex solutions which integrate AWS cloud on premise physical and Virtual server EC2 S3 storage networking and security. Conduct systems design feasibility and cost studies and recommend costeffective cloud solutions .
- Experience in any scripting language like Python shell perl is an added advantage . Experience on Oracle Golden gate & Shareplex replication utilities .
- Extensive Knowledge and solid troubleshooting experience on RAC ASM Performance Tuning . Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies.
- Participates in continuous improvement efforts in enhancing performance and providing increased functionality . 247 oncall operations for mission critical application.
- Must have good verbal written interpersonal and presentation skills . Working closely with Dev/App teams for troubleshooting and RCA preparations.
