ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and ambitious lawyer to join our diverse InHouse Legal Team promoting and adapting our global legal strategy to the provision of legal services in support of Fevers Japanese operations. As Legal Counsel supporting Japan you will play a critical role in the of our business strategy in the region working closely with local leadership. For the right candidate there are growth opportunities to provide support for our continued expansion throughout the APAC region.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to broaden their legal expertise and take ownership of important legal projects while contributing to Fevers mission vision and ambitious growth.
You will be expected to execute the following for your region:
- Draft and negotiate commercial contracts terms and conditions
- Provide legal support to regional business teams and senior management
- Research legal issues related to product development and regulatory compliance
- Provide corporate management support in the region including for corporate expansion
- Stay up to date on relevant legislative and jurisprudence developments in Japan
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to prioritise and manage legal matters
- Manage knowledge and documents including the preparation and revision of templates and legal guides
- Participate in ongoing corporate compliance functions
- Upskilling support and growth of other team members
In order to be successful in this role you will:
- Be a practising lawyer with 13 years of postqualification experience (PQE) in Japan
- Professional fluency in Japanese and English is essential with proficiency in an additional language a strong plus
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with a high level of emotional intelligence
- Experience working on international projects or with global teams
- A team player who is adaptable and eager to learn

This position will be located in Madrid with some flexibility for starting dates.
