American Axle & Manufacturing is seeking an ambitious Senior Industrial Engineer to join our worldclass team. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a leading company in the automotive industry where you will have the chance to contribute to the flawless of our manufacturing processes.Job Description
- Collaborate with diverse teams to resolve most efficient and costeffective manufacturing processes and methods.
- Analyze production data and identify areas for improvement to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
- Design and implement process improvements using lean manufacturing principles. Provide training and guidance to supervisors and operators as required.
- Build and update work instructions process flow charts and operational guidelines.
- Conduct time studies and establish labor standards for production operations.
- Identify and proactively resolve bottlenecks and issues in the production line.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure the highest quality components and materials are used.
Required Skills and Education
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Consistent track record of efficiently implementing process improvements and costsaving initiatives.
- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an industrial engineer in a manufacturing facility.
- 2D AutoCAD software experience.
- Experience in simulation software.
