Job Description
Job Summary
Successfully design and instruct Kids College courses.
Essential Functions
Instruct elementaryage children in a classroom or outdoor setting Create lesson plans Maintain control of purchased supplies for class Communicate with the Kids College office regarding needs for room media and copy Supervise Camp Counselor(s) in classroom needs supplies and student absences Complete supply inventory upon completion of the course Maintain appropriate discipline in the classroom Follow appropriate procedures to maintain the safety of Kids College students. Follow appropriate procedures for substitute instructors Assist with dropoff and pickup process Other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
Frequently moves boxes or coolers of water and ice weighing up to 35 pounds Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50 of the time Use of manual dexterity The person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate information Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision and the ability to adjust focus The person in this position needs to frequently move from office to various locations on campus Duties indoors and some outdoors; must be able to work in all types of weather conditions including extreme heat rain or other types of inclement weather
Required Qualifications
Must have finished at least one year of college Ability to instruct develop and follow daily lesson plans for Kids College courses
Preferred Qualifications
Must be able to show proficiency in the area of instruction/expertise Instructional experience with elementaryaged children
